Responsibilities

Perform field data collection using survey principles, stationary LiDAR, mobile LiDAR, and drone-based LiDAR platforms

Support the development of basemaps and ensure the accurate integration of data into CAD and related platforms

Collaborate with survey and engineering teams to ensure efficient workflows from field collection through office processing

Travel for field work, primarily day trips across Southern California, with occasional overnight travel as needed

(Preferred but not required) Operate drones equipped with LiDAR; training will be provided if needed

Required

Perform field data collection using survey principles, stationary LiDAR, mobile LiDAR, and drone-based LiDAR platforms

Support the development of basemaps and ensure the accurate integration of data into CAD and related platforms

Collaborate with survey and engineering teams to ensure efficient workflows from field collection through office processing

Travel for field work, primarily day trips across Southern California, with occasional overnight travel as needed

Strong proficiency with SQL, Python (especially Pandas), and Excel

Experience working with large and complex datasets in a production environment

Proven ability to design and manage ETL workflows and data pipelines

Experience in building dashboards and visualizations (Power BI preferred)

Understanding of KPIs, operational metrics, and predictive analytics

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into data solutions

Exceptional organizational and time management skills in fast-moving, deadline-driven environments

Experience in surveying and/or LiDAR-based field data collection

Familiarity with CAD and basemap concepts; ability to support design workflows is a plus

Strong technical aptitude with an interest in applying emerging technologies in the field

Ability to balance field and office work, and willingness to travel regionally

Based in, or willing to work from, our San Diego office

Preferred

Operate drones equipped with LiDAR; training will be provided if needed
