Responsibilities

Utilizes knowledge of the working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, including the specifications of the equipment to be used in the welding process

Performs tank testing and associated duties as required

Required

At least Five (5) years of assembly/prefab structural welding/fitting experience

Basic knowledge of welding/fitting specific processes and techniques in addition to being familiar with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction

Experience in structural fabrication and the ability to read/understand drawings is required

Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, work well with others, and have the ability to plan/schedule craft-specific work tasks

Must have a strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of work being performed

Preferred

Prior supervision experience is preferred

Previous supervisory experience is a plus
