Peer Support Specialist (ACTT)
Pyramid Healthcare is dedicated to offering high-quality care in addiction treatment, mental health recovery, and eating disorder treatment. They are seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to join their Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) to support individuals living with serious mental illness and substance use challenges using their lived experience in recovery.

Responsibilities
Peer Support & Advocacy
Share your lived experience to inspire hope, foster recovery, and empower clients
Facilitate weekly social, recovery, and educational groups
Provide or arrange transportation to help clients access essential community resources
Collaboration & Care Coordination
Actively engage in interdisciplinary team meetings as a valued member of the ACTT
Assist in developing and supporting individualized recovery and treatment plans
Communicate consistently with referral sources and community partners about client progress
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate records, including releases of information, care plans, medical documentation, and discharge/aftercare planning
Share responsibility for documenting daily team meeting minutes
Crisis & Support Services
Respond to client crises, including crisis planning, hospital diversion, and after-hours assessments (as part of the rotation)
Provide ongoing support to promote recovery and stability
Qualification
Required
Peer Support Specialist Certification in North Carolina (required)
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (required)
Personal lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery (essential to the role)
