Assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures

Management of supplies and devices

Physiologic patient monitoring

Assisting with direct patient care

Responsible for safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures

Acting as a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison

Qualification

Certified Radiologic TechnologistRegistered Technologist - RadiographyBasic Life SupportACLS certificationAdvanced certification eligibilityAssociates of ScienceOf Science preferred12 CEUs annually

Required

Associates degree

Certified Radiologic Technologist ARRT

Registered Technologist - Radiography

Basic Life Support certification

Registered Radiologic Technologist from an accredited school of Radiological Technology

Current Florida license

Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credentials

Current BLS certification

ACLS within 6 months of hire date if hired in the Cath lab

Proof of eligibility for advanced certification required (VI,CV,CI for IVR and RCIS or RCES for Cath Lab)

Must attain advanced certification within (2) years of hire date

Completes a minimum of 12 CEUs annually (10 CEUs must be CV related)
