Maintenance Technician

They are seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for performing general building maintenance and upkeep, including electrical and plumbing tasks, as well as transporting materials between branches.

Responsibilities

Operates Credit Union vehicle to transport materials between branches and/or other institutions
Performs general indoor and outdoor building maintenance, including but not limited to responsibility for the purchase of related equipment and materials, and small building projects
Performs general electrical maintenance, including wiring ballasts and trouble-shooting electrical issues
Performs monthly plumbing maintenance as needed
Unload and distribute deliveries as needed
Provides coverage for entire Courier and/or Maintenance functions during vacations and staff shortages

Required

Ability to exchange information on factual matters, understand and prioritize instructions, and perform other duties which require a basic level of listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills as normally acquired through a high school education
Must be at least eighteen years of age and possess a current, valid driver's license
Basic knowledge and experience using a computer, specifically E-mail, as normally acquired in one to three months of on-the-job experience
Ability to operate a vehicle within the required state traffic and safety laws
Ability to transport objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
Basic knowledge about and experience with electrical systems involving lighting ballasts and plumbing systems. Electrical experience is required
Ability to learn HVAC control systems and trouble shoot as needed
Basic handyman skills and knowledge, including the ability to operate tools and equipment necessary for general building maintenance, including but not limited to ladders, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, wrenches, and electric drills
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and efficiently with a diverse group of employees in various situations, and maintain a professional, approachable demeanor. Requires strong communication/listening skills and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead projects with excellent communication skills and follow-through
Ability to work within scheduled hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some weekend work during the summer to clean drive-thrus
