Bold Charter School is seeking a Bus Attendant to join their collaborative team focused on educational excellence. The role involves supporting students during their transportation to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being while on the bus.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Assisting students on and off the bus safely

Ensuring students are received by authorized adults at each stop

Communicating and upholding safe transportation expectations

Taking attendance and ensuring students are seated in assigned seats

Ensuring all students wear seat belts at all times while on the bus

Learning the bus route and ensuring substitute drivers are aware of the route and stops

Communicating effectively with Bold team members and families

Participating in bus safety drills

Supporting a culture of operational excellence

Developing strong relationships with Bold’s team, students, and families

Qualification

Required

Available to work daily from 6:30-8:30am and 3:30-5:30pm daily when school is in session and on special schedules as needed (e.g. early dismissal days)

Hold exceptionally high personal standards for performance and professionalism

Demonstrate a strong commitment to and alignment with the mission, beliefs, and values of Bold

Hold a commitment to solutions-based problem solving

Hold a high school diploma or GED

Have experience working with children

Preferred

Hold DOE Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) bus attendant certification (preferred); Bold will work with applicants to obtain certification as needed
