Responsibilities

Assumes responsibilities pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively

Demonstrates technical competencies and knowledge of aseptic technique, operating room policies and procedures, equipment, supplies and instruments used in the operating room

Supports the philosophy, goals and standards of the hospital, department and unit

Utilizes appropriate age-related patient care protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients

Works in a fast-paced environment and adjusts to changes in duties with minimal notice

Qualification

Surgical TechnologyCPR CertificationSterile ProcessingCritical ThinkingInterpersonal Skills

Required

Graduate of a school of Surgical Technology strongly preferred

Expected to be CPR certified every other year

Prefer at least one workshop per year as related to sterile processing or surgical scrub technician role
