Highline Warren is a vertically integrated distributor of maintenance consumables, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. They are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Intern to support the Sourcing team in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers while driving cost savings and supply chain efficiencies.

Responsibilities

Supplier Research & Analysis: Conduct market research on potential and existing suppliers, benchmarking costs, trends, and performance metrics

Data Collection & Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing data on pricing, contracts, and supplier performance; quantify savings opportunities

RFI/RFP/RFQ Support: Draft and issue requests to suppliers, evaluate responses, and contribute to sourcing strategy development

Supplier Relationship Management: Help coordinate communications, meetings, and performance reviews with suppliers

Contract Management: Support review of agreements for compliance with company policies and assist in negotiation preparation

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline sourcing workflows, including automation and reporting enhancements

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Category Management, Finance, Operations, and Legal to align sourcing strategies with business objectives

Project Support: Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, supplier rationalization programs, and sourcing dashboards

Final Presentation: Prepare and deliver an end-of-internship presentation to leadership summarizing findings, results, and recommendations
