Inside Sales Representative/Customer Service

The Customer Service and Sales Representative serves as the main contact for customers, addressing inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction while supporting the Sales and Operations Departments.

Responsibilities

Primary point of contact for existing and potential customers
Effectively communicate on the telephone to gain insight into customer needs while entering customer detail
Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions
Communicates with all individuals whose involvement impacts customer communications and satisfaction
Tracks shipment status of customer orders
Resolves product or service issues by clarifying customer needs, determining cause, selecting and explaining with detail, and implementing best solution
Communicates with freight carriers regarding customer orders
Handles inquiries made via email, website, and/or chat
Works closely with showroom customers as well as scheduling installation work
Communicates with warehouse manager on customer pickup orders
Maintain customer records by updating needed account information
Prepares and sends electronically quotes for existing and future customers
Captures needed detail and collaborates with key management personnel involving special price requests that support fleet, muni and large volume opportunities
Sends order acknowledgements and composes letters to existing customers and future prospects
Quotation follow-up
Assimilates customer credit information and provide to the accounting department
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in person, on the phone, and in writing
Internet based software
Order processing software
MS Office
The employee must have adequate hearing and visual acuity
The position requires being seated a good portion of the day. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
In compliance with OSHA standards it has been determined that Safety glasses and footwear are required on the plant floor
Expected to work 40+ hours weekly, paid Overtime when available
Typical office hours are worked between 8am-8pm Monday thru Friday
Work hour requirements could vary with business needs

Preferred

Preferred experience in retail customer service, sales or related experience and/or training
