Qualification

ARRT certification in RadiographyRadiology Program graduateDiagnostic radiology experienceState licensureALARA principlesRadiation safety knowledgeEquipment performance maintenanceFluoroscopic equipment operationMobile imaging procedures

Required

High School Diploma or GED, required
Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required
Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program
ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required
Applicable state licensure as required, required
Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program will be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required
Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others
Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws
Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices
Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs
Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP's, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions
Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates

Preferred

2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred
Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred
