Start in 2026 SummerAgri Beef is a company dedicated to producing high-quality beef products, and they are seeking passionate students for their summer 2026 Feedyard Internship program. Interns will gain hands-on experience in various areas of feedyard management, including animal nutrition, cattle processing, and yard maintenance.

Responsibilities
Operate feed truck; perform maintenance
Process grain and perform mill maintenance
Read feed bunks
Assist in commodity management and end-of-month commodity inventory
Perform feed department-related tasks on information systems
Process cattle following feed yard protocol
Administer appropriate medicines per feedyard protocol
Complete the shipping and receiving of at least one lot of cattle
Prepare shipping lists and agendas
Assist in end-of-month medicine inventory
Operate pen cleaning and yard equipment
Perform assigned general and equipment maintenance tasks
Assist in the daily scheduling of activities
Communicate with other departments on maintenance activities
Understand general yard operations
Complete a final project related to area of experience
Present project to employees and leadership
Qualification
Required
Interest in a career path in the cattle feeding industry
Preferred
Working toward a degree in the College of Agriculture or Business
Practical hands-on experience working with livestock in the beef or dairy cattle industries
