Blessing Health is seeking a Section Head for Pathology/Histology to oversee the development and maintenance of technical service delivery in histology. The role involves leading a motivated team and ensuring high-quality histological preparations while collaborating closely with Pathologists and Lab Management.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of technical service delivery in histology and for the consistent production of high quality histological preparations
This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served
This Section Head works closely with our Pathologists, Lab Director, and Lab Management
It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital

Qualification

HistologyASCP certificationChemical scienceBiological scienceLeadership

Required

Associates degree in a chemical physical or biological science and at least 1 year experience or completion of a 1 year approved program or experience equivalent to the above requirements
ASCP (or equivalent) registered or eligible
