Responsibilities
Conduct chemokine-based studies to establish immune-based strategies to reduce disparity and evidence-based social interventions to potentiate anti-tumor immunity to reduce risk and improve survival of lung cancer (NSCLC) patients
Conduct active lab research on a semi-independent basis: Design and evaluate experiments; conduct experiments, data collection and analysis, present research progress at national and international and weekly lab meetings, develop new ideas that promote current research; prepare and publish scientific manuscripts under the direction of the principal investigator (PI); apply for postdoctoral fellowships under the direction of Scientist (PI); attend and give seminars; bring new expertise to the research program
Perform other duties assigned by the PI, i.e., train and oversee graduate students and participate in other laboratory activities
Qualification
Required
PhD or MD in biomedical science from an accredited college or university
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience
Expertise in cell and molecular biology
Bioinformatics and data analysis
Immunological techniques such as IHC
Cell and tissue imaging
Excellent organizational skills
Knowledge of computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a team
Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to set priorities and excellent time management skills
Ability to work productively with diverse populations; show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences
Preferred
Advanced data analytics experience
