Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial reports, including bank reconciliations, grant reporting, and financial statements
Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors
Oversee and lead the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the CEO and Fiscal Accountant
Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting
Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/reporting system
Update and implement necessary finance policies and accounting practices
Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the CEO and board of directors
Work closely and transparently with all external partners, including third-party vendors and consultants
Oversee administrative functions and facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations
Process accounts receivable (AR) tasks, banking and bank relations, cash receipts, and deposits
Process all aspects of the role, including serving as back-up for attendance processing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred; MBA or CPA a plus
7 to 10 years of professional experience, with at least 6 years of broad financial and operational management; nonprofit and grant management experience strongly preferred
Experience with accounting software (including Financial Edge)
Commitment to training programs that maximize individual and organizational goals
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the organization's mission
