As a Public Affairs Manager, you will build relationships with community organizations, represent Waymo at events, and collaborate with various teams to drive acceptance of autonomous driving technology.

Responsibilities

Build and manage relationships with influential community organizations and (non-elected) stakeholders across the Northeast to establish trust and understanding of Waymo’s autonomous driving technology before and after service launch

Multi-market stakeholder mapping and new market entry research (Northeast focused)

Represent Waymo at community events: this includes coordinating local sponsorships, managing event logistics, attending - and in some cases delivering remarks - on behalf of the company

Work in close partnership with the communications, marketing, operations, policy and government affairs teams to ensure all work is grounded in research and supports business needs

Lead photo and videoshoot productions and manage the development of social and digital marketing materials for Waymo Community channels

Demonstrate ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and scalable action plans

Required

8+ years of public affairs, non-profit or marketing experience (in-house or agency)

Experience planning, creating and executing strategic digital campaigns

External relationship building and management

Strong public speaking skills

Planning and executing in-person events, including onsite setup and breakdown

Preferred

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Experience managing agency support

Eager to learn, willing to roll up your sleeves

Familiarity with transportation landscape in New York and Massachusetts

Bilingual speaker (Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese)
