PingWind is seeking an experienced Sr. 508 Compliance Specialist to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. This fully remote position is responsible for ensuring accessibility support for enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

Ensure accessibility compliance through UI development, testing, and code reviews to ensure components and systems meet WCAG 2.2 guidelines
Conduct accessibility audits
Assist with identifying critical accessibility issues and provide recommended solutions
Resolve critical accessibility issues
Keep up to date with emerging technologies and strategies regarding accessibility

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accessibility, or related field with 5+ years of federal accessibility experience
Expert knowledge of Section 508 standards, WCAG guidelines, and federal accessibility testing methodologies
Experience with federal accessibility evaluation tools, remediation procedures, and compliance documentation
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including experience managing document version control
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs and priorities

Preferred

Certification in accessibility compliance (CPACC, WAS, or equivalent) and knowledge of federal accessibility laws
