They are seeking a Vascular Technologist who will perform diagnostic vascular examinations and assist physicians in the vascular lab, ensuring patient safety and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic vascular examinations upon the order of a physician

Operates laboratory equipment in a safe and appropriate fashion

Operates medical record and imaging systems appropriately

Transports, moves and positions patients in a safe and appropriate fashion

Assists physicians with special procedures involving the vascular lab

Practices and promotes positive interpersonal and intradepartmental relations

Establishes and maintains ethical relationships within the hospital and with patients

Maintains educational requirements/competencies for vascular certification

Ensures compliance to the standards as outlined in the IAC standards

Assists in the precepting of students and new employees

Assumes responsibility for the safety and mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the vascular lab

Maintains a safe working environment

Assists in maintenance of departmental supplies

Enhanced practice of family centered care and provides individual customer focus and provides service recovery when necessary

Performs cleaning and disinfection in compliance with hospital policies

Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualification

Vascular ultrasoundARDMS certificationRVT certificationCME complianceInterpersonal skills

Required

Graduate from an accredited institution and should be registered (or registered within 90 days of hire date) through ARDMS required

Certification of RVT (preferred), or through the CCI with a certification of RVS required

A minimum of 15 hours of CME is required every three years in compliance with IAC standards

Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often
