Program Director/Instructor, Respiratory Care

Responsibilities

Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for clinical research professional courses
Develops program and course outlines, goals, and objectives
Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives
Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports
Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by attending staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences and by reading professional literature in the related vocational field
Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area
Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues impacting the progress of the students
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in any field
Hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license
Two (2) years' experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/ preceptor for students of such programs
Four (4) years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care
Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to collect and analyze data
Possesses strong technical aptitude including computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheets
Experience in a regulated environment with knowledge of institutional, state, and federal policies and procedures

Preferred

Master's degree in any field
Complete the CoARC Key Personnel Training Program
