Vascular Technologist
Gonzaba Medical Group is seeking a Vascular Technologist responsible for performing general and vascular ultrasound exams according to departmental protocols and standards. The role includes maintaining clinical competencies, ensuring exceptional customer service, and performing various clerical functions as required.

Responsibilities
Assumes responsibility for maintaining clinical competencies according to Gonzaba Medical Group policy
Ensures customer service is always maintained at the highest level
Exercise tact and courtesy when dealing with patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers
Must always adhere to customer service expectations including in-person and virtual (via telephone, or telehealth applications) communication
Participates in educational programs as needed
Performs clerical functions as required including answering the telephone, filing, copying, and faxing, etc
Assists with other modalities when available
Other duties as assigned
Maintain strict confidentiality
Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures and addresses patient concerns
Produces sonographic views of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures
Assures all exams have proper authorization for ordered study
Prepares patients for ultrasound procedures utilizing established protocols for patient care and safety
Prepares patient for exam
Ensures equipment is in working order
Runs QC test on specified days
Monitors (quality control) their own exams and for other Sonographers the technical quality by setting proper sonography techniques for each view/exam
Reports equipment malfunctions to Radiology Supervisor
Reports Quality issues to the Medical Director, the Imaging Services Manager and the QC committee
Logs procedures completed
Process routine paperwork
Maintains Ultrasound room clean and organized
Stock necessary medical supplies
Qualification
Required
Performing general and vascular ultrasound exams according to departmental protocol and ICAVL standards
Maintaining clinical competencies according to Gonzaba Medical Group policy
Ensuring customer service is always maintained at the highest level
Exercising tact and courtesy when dealing with patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers
Adhering to customer service expectations including in-person and virtual communication
Participating in educational programs as needed
