Real Estate
Responsibilities
Architect, implement, and maintain backend services
Design clean, well-documented REST/GraphQL APIs and data models that serve our web application
Own service reliability including comprehensive testing, observability, performance, and incident response
Collaborate with Product/Design to break down problems and deliver iteratively
Lead code reviews, author technical docs, and mentor engineers
Drive technical decisions on architecture, tooling, and best practices
Qualification
Required
6–8+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments
Strong proficiency in Typescript/Next.js or equivalent experience in Python, Go, Java, etc
Deep experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred, MySQL) including query optimization and schema design
Experience with caching strategies (Redis) and message queuing systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
Proven track record with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker preferred, Kubernetes)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
Experience designing secure APIs and with service reliance patterns
Preferred
Experience with real-time communication/WebSockets
Takes initiative and drives projects from conception to completion
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Background in investment management or multifamily real estate
