Intern - Naturalist/ Program Coordinator (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is seeking an Intern - Naturalist/Program Coordinator for the summer session at Lake Herman State Park. The role involves developing, promoting, and presenting educational programs related to natural and cultural resources, while also staffing visitor centers and coordinating special events.

Responsibilities
Develops, promotes, and presents programs on natural and cultural resources, and environmental education
Duties may include staffing the visitor centers, selling publications, developing and presenting day and evening programs, coordinating special events with volunteer and employed staff, and presenting living history demonstrations
Qualification
Required
Applicant must be a current part-time or full-time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in upcoming semester or in the immediately preceding semester
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
