Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native backend services that support core streaming platform capabilities such as content management, metadata, playback, scheduling, entitlement, and more
Build and optimize APIs that enable internal and external teams to deliver consistent, high-performance video experiences across platforms
Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, and product managers to design extensible service interfaces and system boundaries
Contribute to service orchestration, data flow optimization, and performance tuning across a microservices-based architecture
Integrate with a variety of internal systems and external services (e.g., CDN APIs, authentication, entitlement, SSAI, analytics)
Drive high standards for software quality, testability, observability, and deployment automation
Participate in architecture reviews, design sessions, sprint planning, and technical mentoring

Required

5+ years of experience developing backend systems or platform infrastructure in a production environment
Proficiency in C#/.NET and working experience with Go or Python
Solid understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems patterns
Experience with cloud-native development (preferably AWS) including services like Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, SQS, and API Gateway
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, version control, and automated testing frameworks
Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to navigate complex system interdependencies
Excellent collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred

Experience supporting video streaming platforms, especially backend systems related to playback, metadata, entitlement, or content pipelines
Knowledge of advertising technologies such as SSAI, ad beacons, or video analytics (a plus, but not the focus of the role)
Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, or Datadog
Experience working with global teams, vendor partners, or hybrid delivery environments
