Responsibilities
Observe various types of court proceedings and court interpreting events
Receive mentorship and guidance on bilingual careers within the judiciary
Assist with court greeting and providing basic information to Spanish speaking court users
Receive academic credits
Work flexible hours possibly for the Fall 2025 semester, Spring 2026 semester, and Summer 2026 semester
Good communication and interpersonal skills are helpful
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel are helpful
Course in translation and/or interpretation are a plus
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position
Qualification
Required
Thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university while currently pursuing a degree or graduated from a college/university within one year of application
Be interested in a career of bilingual direct customer service
Have a mastery of Spanish and English
Be responsible and reliable
A cover letter with reference to the announcement number and including both day and evening telephone numbers
A current resume
Current transcript showing completion of Spanish language classes at level 200 or above

Recommendation from a current faculty member
