Responsibilities

Bookkeeping that covers the following areas: A/P(Bill.com), bank deposits, department reconciliations, account reconciliations, and draft financial reports
Track credit card charges daily
Payroll processing
Assist with Human Resources needs including preparing new hire packages, and benefits administration
Distributing petty cash
Working with families submitting scholarship applications
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials and information
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor including filing, participation in special events, and occasional backup support for the reception desk

Qualification

QuickBooks DesktopGAAP knowledgePayroll processingMS Office applicationsFund accountingCustomer serviceIT conceptsDatabase familiarityOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Firm knowledge of MS Office applications and QuickBooks Desktop
Knowledge of GAAP and understanding of the basic principles of grant/fund accounting
Ability to provide excellent customer service communication via telephone, electronic communications, and in person
Understanding of basic Human Resources such as payroll/benefits processing
Familiarity with basic concepts of IT
Proven organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
Ability to organize time, manage diverse activities and meet deadlines

Preferred

Familiarity with databases (Raisers Edge & Camp Minder preferred)
