ComEd is a leading energy company focused on powering a cleaner, brighter future. They are seeking a Testing and Commissioning Engineering Tech to perform field testing, commissioning activities, and maintenance of transmission and distribution level protection and control systems in substations.

Responsibilities
Conduct Corrective Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, and project installation testing activities on power equipment
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in a technical field and 0-3 years of technical experience, an associate's degree and 2-5 years of technical experience, or 5-7 year of technical experience or relevant education, if non-degreed or a non-technical degree
Successful completion of the TECH Test. (A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university exempts the TECH Test requirement.)
Good knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform assignments for a specific discipline for maintenance, testing, installation or service
Positions require the ability to read blueprints and schematics and use basic test instruments
Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
Valid driver's license
Requires frequent travel to various company substations or other locations within the service territory
Must be available to work shifts and respond to emergency situations (7 days per week / 24 hours per day)
Relevant education/experience is knowledge and/or skills that may be acquired through job experiences or education programs similar to a formal technical degree program. Relevant experience includes experience in a military role (transmission, distribution, gas, power systems, etc.), project management, journey-level electrician or gas technician, field operations, or other utility related experience, as deemed relevant to the role. Relevant educational experience includes company sponsored training programs (ex. PowerUp Academy) or other educational programs, as deemed relevant to the role. The equivalent relevant education / experience requirement is in addition to the position's minimum experience requirements
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Technical experience related to electrical power equipment
Electrical troubleshooting experience
