Quality Control Summer Intern - Canastota

CRH is a leading supplier of paving materials and construction services in New York State. The Quality Control intern will work in the Canastota quarry, testing aggregate and asphalt building materials to ensure they meet high-quality standards under the supervision of experienced staff.

Responsibilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Monitor and test process functions and materials daily to ensure products meet or exceed the requirements of the appropriate agency or customer

Correct any deviations in these processed or materials from the requirements

Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned

Evaluate data for deviations or trends away from accepted standards

Maintain test result database; input data

Assist internal and external customers in any quality-related matters

Pre employment screenings are required before being employed by Callanan Industries, Inc

Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required

Ability to build partnerships and to work with others to meet shared objectives

Demonstrate strong communication skills

High School Diploma or equivalent or undergraduate student enrolled in one of the following degrees or related programs: Engineering, Engineering Tech, or Construction Tech
