Buro Happold has an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their hybrid team in New York City. The Associate Mechanical Engineer will lead the design of mechanical systems and manage a team to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and technical specifications of mechanical systems, ensuring quality output

Manage project resources, client relationships, and deliver high-quality solutions

Guide graduates and other junior engineers through their professional development

Communicate directly with clients and maintain client relationships

Actively contribute ideas and innovative solutions across various projects

Ensure practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s best interests and comply with current legislation and building codes

Required

8+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and HVAC

Demonstrated experience in a senior role within MEP for an architectural engineering consultancy

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree

P.E., professional engineer

Experience using Revit and computational analysis tools

Preferred

LEED AP accredited preferred

Ideal sector experience in Aviation/Transportation, Cultural Projects, Labs, Commercial, and Higher Education
