New Grad, Entry LevelIvy Tech Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Welding skilled training courses for client partners. The role involves creating a supportive learning environment, providing effective instruction, and maintaining student records while being available for student assistance outside of class hours.

Responsibilities
Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes
Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements
Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook
Submits requested information within established timelines
Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions or provide assistance
Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues
Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as IvyLearn, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate. In event of emergency absence, notifies Program Manager or Employer Consultant
Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views
Promote same as an integral part of one's work
Qualification
Required
Possess an appropriate industry recognized credential or certification or associate degree, in related field needing instruction
Possess a Department of Labor, Bureau for Apprenticeship Training recognized journeyman's card in the discipline directly related to credentials, certifications, and competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
Related field experience based on course
Possesses a current Workplace Specialist License; Technology Education License (Technology and Engineering Education, Engineering and Technology Education), or CTE: Trade & Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing License granted by the Indiana Department of Education appropriate to course objectives and directly linked to credentials, certifications, and possess any specialized certifications
Related work experience in industry
Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome
