FluentU is an online education company that helps people learn languages with real-world videos. They are seeking a Korean Content Editor to create engaging and useful Korean language content, collaborating with a native English speaker and other editors.

Responsibilities

Working alongside a native English speaker to create language learning content: You will be working with a native English speaker, who will be in charge of the English text in our learning content. You will mainly be in charge of the Korean text

Creating Korean learning content: As a content editor, you will:

Curate Korean language videos

Annotate words (define words and write example sentences)

Create vocabulary flashcard sets and Korean learning courses

Adapting to new software: Be ready to learn a variety of platforms through which we communicate and assign tasks. Previous experience with Asana and/or Slack is a plus

Work cooperatively with others: Collaborate with other editors to find the best ways to provide language learning services

Required

A love of language education

Knowledge of Korean and English language and language learning

At least 1 year of experience in Korean education/translation or linguistic fields

Strong editing skills and attention to detail

The ability to work remotely with a team

Having a self-driven and productive attitude

Strong written communications

Stable commitment to work 15-20 hours per week on a regular, long-term basis

Preferred

Previous experience with Asana and/or Slack
