Part time Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist with call

They are seeking a Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist to assist in routine diagnostic and complex invasive neuro interventions, ensuring quality imaging and following established protocols. The role requires the technologist to be competent in a variety of procedures and to take call as necessary.

Responsibilities

Assist in routine diagnostic, highly complex invasive neuro, and peripheral interventions
Assist in performing many neuro-interventional surgical procedures such as cerebral aneurysm coils, avascular malformations, and stroke interventions
Follow established protocols and guidelines for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies
Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and provide quality imaging for interpretation
Order and stock supplies utilized in Special Procedures and the Biplane
Scrub and/or circulate in the Special Procedure and Biplane suites, with thorough knowledge of catheters, anatomy, positioning, and techniques used in angiography and related work
Provide Safe Passage for patients and families by utilizing the six dimensions of Relationship Based Care: Resources, Teamwork, Care Delivery, Outcomes, Professional Practice and Leadership
Participate and collaborate in practice decisions that impact the practice environment and patient outcomes
Utilize the JMC Pathway for objective, data-driven decision making
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Two (2) Years of College or Graduate of an accredited Imaging program or graduate of a certificate or degree granting program or post-secondary educational program in a health science (includes but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic/EMT)
Current State of Florida license if applicable
Current ARRT or RCIS or obtain within 18 months
American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider
Minimum 1 year Neuro-Interventional experience required
Proficient computer skills
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
Must be able to take call
Must have a thorough understanding of aseptic technique
Must be able to scrub and/or circulate in the Special Procedure and Biplane suites, have a thorough knowledge of catheters, anatomy, positioning, and techniques used in angiography and related work
Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert and self-motivated

Preferred

2 years' clinical training or 1-year procedural experience (IR/ Cath lab/ Scrub experience) preferred
