Responsibilities

Helps drive enterprise-wide data quality and compliance initiatives through governance frameworks, metadata standards, and catalog management. Performs data enrichment, cleansing, validation, and root cause analysis using tools such as Acceldata and Unity Catalog
Support integration of Acceldata with platforms such as Databricks, Unity Catalog, and other enterprise data tools
Architect and implement scalable data quality frameworks that span ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
Define and enforce quality thresholds, validation rules, and governance policies across data domains
Collaborate with data owners and stewards to baseline quality scores and track incident resolution
Build reusable modules for profiling, scoring, and rule-based validation using Acceldata and Databricks
Automate data profiling across bronze, silver, and gold layers using Databricks and Acceldata
Implement scoring mechanisms to assess data reliability and business relevance
Monitor schema drift, freshness, and anomaly detection using AI/ML-enhanced observability tools
Develop observability dashboards for pipeline health, latency, throughput, and error tracking
Integrate Acceldata’s observability engine with Databricks workflows and Unity Catalog
Enable end-to-end lineage and impact analysis to support root cause investigations
Configure and manage Acceldata and Collibra for enterprise-wide data quality and metadata management
Use Unity Catalog for metadata capture and lineage tracking within Databricks
Support governance planning, backlog refinement, and training for data stewards
Produces clear, comprehensive technical documentation for complex systems and processes. Communicates technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Stays current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data governance, quality, and engineering. Actively engages with senior leadership and contributes to the evolution of enterprise data strategy

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
Seasoned Data Governance Lead with 10+ years of experience driving governance strategies and frameworks in a Fortune 500 enterprise
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
Established and maintained an enterprise-wide data governance framework to ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of organizational data assets
Proven expertise in defining, implementing, and certifying enterprise-wide KPIs across critical business functions to drive measurable outcomes and strategic alignment
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for data privacy and security
Driven strategic initiatives to improve data quality, accessibility, and usability across the business
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica)
5+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree
7+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree

Preferred

Experience with Acceldata and Databricks a plus
Experience with master data management
