Graduate Development Program Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop multi-discipline (chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial or electrical) proficiency during the program
Review technical reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly Energy/Water)
Perform basic lab tests with supervision of lab manager, prepare daily technical report with supervision
Produce SIPOC diagram for the department’s operations, key physical locations
Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects
General electrical troubleshooting & equipment (starters, VFD, soft starts & breakers)
Perform operational & cost studies
Perform tasks as an area supervisor

Required

B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college/university
0 - 2 years of professional work experience (including internships and co-ops)
Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment and/or internship experiences is required
Strong academic record (3.0 GPA or better)
Time Management: Having the ability to manage and monitor a large number of projects to completion
Critical thinking and problem solving: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Communication: The ability to effectively and clearly communicate information and ideas
Self-starter: Have a strong sense of urgency and is deadline-oriented. The ability to handle multiple projects at one time
Emotional Intelligence
Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills, and oral/written communication skills
Interest in pursuing a career path as a leader in a manufacturing environment
Proficient Microsoft Office skills, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to write clearly and accurately
