Research Data Analyst Associate, Rheumatology
Northwestern University is seeking a Research Data Analyst Associate for their Rheumatology department. The role involves utilizing quantitative and qualitative datasets to interpret results, assist in business solution development, and compile reports based on statistical methods.

Responsibilities
Partners with clients define requirements based on business objectives
Develop standardized templates, policies, and procedures for internal and external reporting
Designs and prepares documentation for qualitative and quantitative data analysis
Completes a variety of statistical analyses using appropriate data and software
Merges data from multiple sources in preparation for analysis
Interprets results of analyses for use in reports and presentations
Completes data cleaning and organizes data files for analysis
Reviews data and Identifies quality issues
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience

Practical experience in applying programming skills to real-world problems
Prior working experience with quantitative analysis, algorithm development, and statistics
Prior working experience in theory and application of machine learning
Prior working experience in software development, database maintenance, and high-performance computing
Prior working experience with big data, particularly genomic data, and/or bioinformatics
Skill/ability in computer programming using Python or similar, R, and bash scripting
Skill/ability to apply a creative approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting
Knowledge of development of online applications
Knowledge of or interest in biology, specifically immunology
