Principal Project Manager

The Principal Project Manager leads large-scale, complex projects, ensuring timely execution and managing cost, scope, and risk while advising executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and leadership for large or highly complex projects from initiation through delivery
Serve as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
Analyze and resolve new and complex project challenges involving scheduling, tools, technology selection, financial constraints, and resource allocation
Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risk plans, and performance metrics
Guide the development and execution of long- and short-term plans for application selection, systems integration, development, deployment, maintenance, and production support
Oversee and direct project teams, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and performance guidance
Lead the definition of project goals, success criteria, and delivery milestones
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet evolving requirements and business priorities
Communicate status updates and critical project insights to senior leadership and stakeholders
Ensure adherence to project governance, regulatory compliance, and organizational standards
Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including project methodologies, tools, and delivery processes
Drive stakeholder engagement and change management throughout the project lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to plan and deliver technical solutions independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Master's degree
At least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Clearance: Public Trust
Citizenship: US Citizen by birth or naturalization
