The Staff Accountant, Inventory will lead month-end close activities, manage inventory accounts, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end close activities related to inventory, including preparation of account reconciliations, analysis of general ledger transactions, and posting of journal entries with accuracy and timeliness

Review and validate transactions impacting inventory in the general ledger, including purchase orders, receipts, fulfillment activity, supply chain invoices, warehouse adjustments, and physical inventory counts

Assist with the management and reconciliation of inventory accounts across financial reporting systems and operational platforms such as NetSuite, proprietary Warehouse Management Systems,, and others

Prepare detailed inventory accounting schedules and workpapers to support public company SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and internal/external audit requirements

Lead ad hoc projects related to inventory and internal fulfillment operations, including audit support, regulatory filings, and system enhancements

Review deliverables from outsourced accounting partners; develop and maintain process documentation and training materials to ensure consistency and accuracy

Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, automation, and documentation within the inventory accounting function
