Senior Compensation Analyst

Responsibilities
As a critical part of the Americas Regional Total Rewards team, ensure compensation programs are administered effectively in accordance with the organization’s reward strategy
Work with the HR leadership team and executive team to support and influence the company’s reward strategy
Work with Corporate HR team and HRBPs to solve day-to-day HR issues related to compensation and benefits
Assist with employee communications strategy regarding compensation
Conduct market analysis; participate in market surveys; analyze data from survey sources to determine competitiveness both internally and externally; research industry trends across the Region
Maintain and adjust salary structures to ensure competitiveness in accordance with company strategy
Conduct job evaluation and pricing utilizing salary surveys or slotting; classify job descriptions for all current and open positions, working in conjunction with hiring managers to define duties and responsibilities while ensuring regulatory compliance
Maintain database of all job descriptions; create job descriptions as needed; ensure accuracy of employee compensation information within databases
Support global merit process in the Americas region, working in conjunction with Head Office, HRBPs and executive team to carry out annual merit planning and bonus cycle
Support administration of the company’s short-term bonus programs and sales incentive programs in the Americas region; audit incentive calculations for accuracy, completeness and compliance according to program documents
Support administration/communication of long-term incentives in the Americas region
Conduct local market analysis to support RFQ’s/new business sales efforts
Create models and financial projections illustrating the impact of compensation programs and alternatives; support annual budget process
Conduct compensation compliance reviews; support audits and regulatory filings as needed
Keep abreast of regulatory changes, such as adjustments to minimum or living wage, that may affect hiring, earnings and benefits, and customer contracts
Support benefits and/or other Total Rewards projects as time allows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree plus additional courses or seminars related to compensation practice and administration; experience in compensation role may be considered in lieu of a degree
10+ years' compensation experience, including base pay administration, incentive compensation (annual bonus and other short-term programs), sales compensation, HRIS
2+ years' global Total Rewards experience including LATAM (e.g. Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Suriname)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to support all levels of the organization; ability to interact with individuals internal and external to the organization in an effective, courteous, and productive manner; ability to act as consultant to field HR business partners and line managers
Experience working with senior executives, delivering presentations, and implementing programs, and listening to feedback
Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent grammar skills in order to communicate with our internal customers throughout the Americas region; Spanish language skills a plus
Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce error-free correspondence and work product
Excellent organizational skills, to include the ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects and meet established or anticipated deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks and projects at once
Collaborative and team-oriented attitude; ability to work with Payroll, Finance, HR Partners and Lines of Business across North, Central and South America
Excellent research and problem-solving skills
Strong Excel skills; ability to manage and analyze large data sets using Excel tools (e.g. pivot tables, macros, lookup function, mail merge)
Strong working knowledge of US FLSA compliance guidelines
Strong data and technology aptitude; experience with HRIS and payroll systems, as well as systems implementations a plus
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
Ability to follow instructions and work independently in the completion of assigned duties and responsibilities
