They are seeking a Senior Safety Engineer who will be responsible for developing site metrics, conducting incident investigations, and mentoring Safety Technicians within the construction EHS team.

Responsibilities

Develop and control site metrics and dashboards

Big data analytics and presentations tailored to specific audiences

Conduct incident investigations, assist contractors in identification of root cause, help to determine corrective actions, and support implementation after presentation of approved 8D materials

Mentor and coach Safety Technicians on the EHS team as required by job scope

Required

4 Year Bachelor Degree from accredited University with a focus in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety

12+ years of field safety experience in industrial or heavy civil construction, transportation, or related field is required

CSP, CIH or other professional certification required or ability to obtain

Expert level computer skills including Office 365 productivity suite and familiarity with Safety database software

Knowledge of general construction safety and health regulations, including OSHA 1926

Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with minimal supervision

Self-motivated, able to accomplish assignments with minimal oversight

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles

Preferred

Masters degree is a plus
