Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate the successful execution of electrical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, schedules, and budgets
Plan, develop, and direct projects or engineering programs, collaborating closely with Project Managers
Lead teams and supervise engineers, technicians, and sub-consultants as needed
Provide technical oversight, guidance, and leadership in client and project team meetings
Assist with proposals, negotiations, and presentations to support business development and client relationship growth
Develop electrical design drawings for building systems, including one-line diagrams, load analyses, and panel schedules
Select and specify electrical equipment such as switchboards, panels, transformers, and lighting controls
Research and evaluate product data sheets to identify electrical requirements for equipment
Conduct site visits, gather field data, and compare findings to base plans
Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and review shop drawings
Provide construction-phase support, answering design questions and coordinating with architects, contractors, and clients
Mentor and train junior staff to support professional growth and technical excellence
Ensure projects comply with KCI policies, ISO standards, and industry best practices
Participate in employee performance appraisals and contribute to talent development within the MEP practice
Engage in professional associations and community involvement to expand KCI’s presence and build networks
Work with Project Managers to actively manage budgets, utilization targets, and project financials
Complete tasks within defined scope, schedule, and budget parameters
Provide regular task performance updates and reports

Required

Bachelor's Degree in related field (AEC Industry)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring engineering projects
Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
