Strategy and Performance Analyst
First Command Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a Strategy & Performance Analyst to connect strategic priorities with execution and outcomes. This role involves maintaining the strategic roadmap, conducting performance analysis, and supporting decision-making through actionable insights and collaboration with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance the enterprise strategic roadmap, including priorities, milestones, and success metrics
Conduct market, industry, and internal performance analysis to inform strategic planning, strategy refinement, and decision-making
Support the development and communication of strategic plans, including presentations for executive leadership and Board of Directors
Assist with strategy governance by sequencing and aligning strategic imperatives, and by monitoring dependencies, risks, and progress
Contribute to OSM-led workshops, planning sessions, and quarterly reviews
Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports to track performance against strategic goals
Translate quantitative and qualitative data to insights and recommendations for leadership decision-making
Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to define and refine OKRs, ensuring alignment with measurable performance metrics and enterprise goals
Leverage tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to automate and streamline reporting and deliver timely, accessible insights
Participate in quarterly performance review cycles, leading data collection, synthesis, and report preparation for OSM, ELT and Board of Directors
Support OSM leadership in promoting alignment and transparency between strategy creation, execution and performance measurement
Support continuous improvement efforts in planning processes, tools, templates, and reporting infrastructure, in line with the OSM service model implementation plan to drive milestone-based progress
Proactively deliver strategy and performance insights to inform decision-making, drive accountability, and improve organizational outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (preferred majors: Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or Organizational Strategy)
3+ years of experience in strategy, business analysis, finance, consulting, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights
Strong Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI/project management tools is a plus
Experienced in performance metrics, forecasting, and reporting
Comfortable working in dynamic environments with evolving priorities and multiple deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrates high attention to detail and accuracy across work products and processes
Ability to handle sensitive data with integrity and confidentiality
Demonstrates the ability to follow and uphold structured strategy and performance management routines with accuracy, transparency, and reliability
Exhibits curiosity and initiative to identify opportunities for enhancing OSM processes, tools, and reporting
Builds strong partnerships across OSM, ELT, and business units, fostering alignment and shared accountability
Reflects competencies that guide how strategies are developed, communicated, and executed across the enterprise, emphasizing Collaborative Communication, Growth Mindset, Responsible Contribution, and Service to Others
