Responsibilities

Assist the analysts to prepare various financial analyses and calculations relating to tax-exempt bond financings to ensure compliance with certain federal tax laws and regulations
Gather historical investment information and analyze such information using various spreadsheet models to determine investment returns and federal tax compliance
Assist the analysts to prepare arbitrage reports which includes a summary of all assumptions and methodologies and the calculations for governmental clients
Assist in the development of financial models, preparing yield calculations, loan amortization schedules, complex allocation analyses, swap/hedge analysis, presentations, marketing materials, and research

Required

Student must be enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree, preferably in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or other technical field
Knowledge of fixed income securities
Knowledge of general market principles
Proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications
Understanding of accounting principles
Ability to work 20 hours per week
