Samaritan's Purse is seeking an Electrical Trainee to join their Rebuild teams in Western North Carolina. In this entry-level role, you will lead volunteer teams, complete electrical work on home rebuilds, and assist homeowners throughout the rebuilding process.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Rebuild Construction Manager and Electrical Foreman to complete electrical work and repairs in residential construction

Lead and work with on-site volunteer teams

Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and plumbing equipment at each job site

Communicate and minister to homeowners and partners throughout the rebuilding process

Complete all electrical needs, and conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing electrical infrastructure

Required

One-year certificate from college or technical school and at least three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Basic knowledge of the construction industry and process

Ability to obtain Class A restricted drivers license and valid Department of Transportation Medical Card

Proven ability to work cross-functionally with construction management and volunteers

Fluency in English (required)
