Radiology Technologist - Mercy Fairfield
Mercy Health is a healthcare provider committed to delivering quality care. They are seeking a Radiology Technologist who will apply diagnostic imaging skills and ensure patient safety through effective use of ionizing radiation in radiology procedures.

Responsibilities
Obtains patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner
Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort
Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others
Performs radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment, and/or associated accessories to successfully perform procedures
Verifies informed consent and completes pre and post procedure documentation
Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures. Applies appropriate aseptic surgical technique as needed
Qualification
Required
Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
Preferred
Associates from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute
State Licensure (unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care
Experience with Radiology Information System
