Engineering Manager, Thermal
True Anomaly is a company focused on building innovative technology for space security and sustainability. They are seeking a Thermal Engineering Manager to lead a team of thermal engineers in spacecraft thermal design and analysis, ensuring the success of rapidly developed space systems.

Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a small team of thermal engineers, setting technical direction, standards, and best practices for thermal analysis and testing
Work with a product-focused team including mechanical, electrical, software, and automation engineers to rapidly develop revolutionary thermal designs
Perform integrated thermal analysis to determine heater/radiator sizing and external coatings required to maintain all elements of the spacecraft within thermal limits
Perform detailed thermal analysis across a variety of design reference missions (DRMs)
Design and help develop detailed piece-part and assembly drawings for heaters, MLI, and other thermal control components
Assist with electronic thermal predictions and board-level analysis
Coordinate thermal interfaces between subsystems
Lead and support Thermal Vacuum and Thermal Cycle testing, including model correlation
Contribute to and review technical documentation, ensuring high-quality thermal analysis deliverables
Support on-orbit operations as the thermal subject matter expert
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) with training in analysis of structures and fluids
6+ years of professional experience in space thermal analysis and control
Demonstrated excellence in thermal vacuum testing, analysis, and model correlation
Thermal experience with spacecraft subcomponents such as optical payloads, mechanisms, and structures
Proficiency in tools such as Thermal Desktop and SolidWorks
Experience setting technical standards, mentoring junior engineers, or providing technical leadership
Passion for the space industry
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with little input on requirements or management oversight
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance
Work Location—while we observe a hybrid work environment, you will need to be onsite as the business needs require. On an average week, you can expect to spend at least 3 days per week in office at our Gravity Works facility in Denver

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred
Master's degree in aerospace engineering (or related field)
Prior experience managing or leading small engineering teams
Familiarity with rapid hardware development in a startup or fast-paced environment
