A commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate level is fundamental to this position and to the mission of the Morgan State University
Tenure-track candidates will be expected to establish an externally funded research program, to contribute to knowledge creation evinced through scholarly publications, and to engage in building the department’s prominence through professional service
The department is particularly interested in candidates with background and interests in Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) and at least one major aspect of industrial engineering including robotics, digital twins and pharmaceutical manufacturing
Develop and deliver curriculum content related to industrial engineering
Participate in undergraduate and graduate student advising
Engage in committee activities at program, department and/or university levels
Qualification
Required
Earned doctorate degree (at the time of appointment) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate level
Establish an externally funded research program
Contribute to knowledge creation evinced through scholarly publications
Engage in building the department's prominence through professional service
Background and interests in Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI)
Interest in at least one major aspect of industrial engineering including robotics, digital twins and pharmaceutical manufacturing
Teaching and research interests in the areas of industrial Engineering and ML/AI
Interest in collaboration across the university
