Intern – Youth and Family Support Services
Chestnut Health Systems is seeking two interns to join the Youth and Family Support Services team. This role offers college students or recent graduates hands-on experience in counseling, social work, or psychology while making a positive impact in the lives of youth and families.

Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork, including assessments, recovery plans, progress notes, and other necessary documentation
Provide client-driven services that align with treatment plans
Promote a trauma-informed recovery model by encouraging hope, empowerment, health, wellness, and spirituality. You’ll support clients in taking control of their own recovery
Assist clients and families by connecting them to necessary resources within Chestnut and the community
Work closely with other team members, attend staff meetings, and participate in program development. You’ll also communicate with families, schools, probation officers, and other key people in the client's life
Deliver services in natural environments when possible, using evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed care
Safeguard all organizational and consumer information
Qualification
Required
Must be in a Master's program, pursuing a degree in Social Work or Counseling
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and experience with electronic medical records
Valid driver's license, private automobile insurance, and insurability required
Must be able to successfully complete Chestnut's background check
