Head of Finance & Operations
Worklio is the only modern full-stack back-office platform used by Vertical SaaS providers, ASO/PEOs, Payroll Bureaus, and Staffing companies. They are seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial Head of Finance & Operations to lead financial and operational strategies while building out a new service division.

Responsibilities
Manage Worklio’s internal books and financial operations to start, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Build and lead the Tampa finance team: hire, train, and mentor accountants and bookkeepers
Support sales by joining client calls and positioning our new accounting and CFO services
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
Develop and implement financial and operational strategies that align with company growth
Ensure compliance with GAAP, payroll, tax, and regulatory requirements
Drive operational efficiency through improved systems and processes
Provide financial reporting and insights to executive leadership for decision-making
Manage office operations and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
8–12 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
Strong client-facing skills; comfortable presenting on sales calls
Proven ability to build and scale teams and offices from the ground up
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred
CPA strongly preferred
MBA a plus
Background in construction and/or hospitality accounting highly desirable
Experience in industries typically served by PEOs a plus
