Responsibilities
Deliver personalized nutrition counseling and guidance on weight management strategies through multiple virtual platforms including phone, video calls, messaging, and email
Assist with medication monitoring and management for obesity-related conditions, in collaboration with licensed physicians
Monitor patient data remotely using connected health devices such as smart scales, blood glucose monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and ketone meters
Guide patients through the process of initiating and adjusting anti-obesity medications based on established clinical guidelines
Work closely with in-house and external healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care
Build strong therapeutic relationships quickly with patients from varied backgrounds
Use motivational interviewing and other behavior-change techniques to encourage lasting lifestyle changes
Host live virtual sessions or educational webinars when needed
Consistently meet performance goals while delivering exceptional care and maintaining documentation standards
Ensure timely and accurate charting and reporting in the electronic medical record system
Qualification
Required
Registered Dietitian (RD) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in applicable states as required for practice
Must have access to a secure, quiet home office setup with reliable high-speed internet
Comfortable navigating electronic health records and other digital tools used in remote care delivery
Preferred
Certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) from NCBDE is a strong asset
Open to obtaining additional state licenses based on patient coverage needs
Prior experience working with weight loss medications is highly desirable
Skilled in motivational interviewing and patient coaching techniques
