2+ years expApt is seeking a skilled Network Install Technician to join their dynamic and growing team. This role involves the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of network infrastructure in various environments, focusing on quality and customer service.

Responsibilities
Install and configure network equipment including switches, routers, wireless access points, and structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/fiber)
Conduct site surveys to determine installation requirements and document layouts
Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling to meet performance and safety standards
Mount, secure, and label hardware in telecommunications rooms and structured environments
Diagnose and resolve issues related to connectivity, equipment performance, and network configuration
Communicate with site supervisors, property staff, and internal teams to coordinate and complete projects
Deliver installations on time, within scope, and in accordance with project specifications
Keep detailed documentation and reporting for each job
Travel to various job sites as needed (may include overnight travel)
Follow all safety guidelines and best practices on job sites
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2-3+ years of fieldwork or technical installation experience in networking or structured cabling
Strong understanding of IP networking, wireless systems, and structured cabling best practices
Hands-on skills using tools such as cable testers, punch-down tools, and labeling systems
Ability to read technical schematics, floor plans, and network diagrams
Familiarity with cable management, rack installation, and low-voltage wiring
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and access confined spaces as needed
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a remote or field-based team
Preferred
Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, BICSI Installer/Technician, or similar)
Background in servicing multi-dwelling units (MDUs), hospitality, or student housing environments
Hands-on experience with network equipment such as Ubiquiti, Ruckus, or Meraki
