Responsibilities

Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable

Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices

Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area

Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth

Qualification

Diagnostic Medical SonographyARRT CertificationBasic Life SupportACLS CertificationPALS CertificationASLS CertificationPatient CareEquipment Maintenance

Required

High School Diploma/GED

Graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology

ARRT certified

Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire

ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire

Preferred

One year of experience preferred

ASLS certification preferred
