Senior Systems Engineer, Space Systems
Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe. They are seeking a self-starting cleared Senior Systems Engineer to support mission critical space and intelligence programs, focusing on the development, deployment, operations, and maintenance of satellite ground terminals and associated systems.

Responsibilities
Develop requirements documentation
Support analysis and allocation of requirements to lower level systems
Coordinate with external customers
Support design and requirements reviews
Develop, maintain and exercise system performance models
Identifying critical analysis required, organizing and performing analysis tasks, organizing and performing system- and design-level trades, developing and evaluating algorithms, defining system architecture to implement algorithm
Requirements verification planning and execution
Support business development, development of system engineering and analysis program plans
Develop concepts of operation, technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses, functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Plan, execute, and close projects that meet or exceed customer objectives
Create clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality
Develop the overall project plan and manage project operations
Manage the project stakeholders, project team, project risk, project schedule, project budget, and project conflicts
Ensure team members know and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team members
Ensure production schedules are met and system resources are used effectively
Coordinate resolution of production-related problems
Ensures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of systems and services
Provide and coordinate EVMS reporting
Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables
Supervise, manage, support and evaluate personnel
Estimate staffing needs, assign work, recommend candidates for employment, makes recommendations for termination, conduct performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff and is responsible for the application of company policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management or related disciplines plus 5 years of experience
Must have a minimum of a TS/SCI clearance and willing to sit for and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request. Contract requires TS/SCI with poly
Experience in Satellite Ground and Space Operations
Preferred
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience with wireless digital communication systems
Experience with EVMS
Experience with Matlab / Simulink / Octave / STK
Worked in automated test environments
Strong writing and presentation skills
The ability to communicate and work well with others
